About us

More than 100 million people worldwide are fleeing violence, war and persecution. They cover vast distances, often on foot, in search of a safe home. Arriving in Belgium is not the end of the road, as there is still a lot of work to be done here too to give people fleeing their country a warm home.

Would you like to do something to help create a warm home for everyone? Do you like a sporting challenge? Are you keen to raise money for people fleeing their country? Then the Refugee Walk is undoubtedly for you!

During the Refugee Walk, on the 8th of October 2023, you show your solidarity by walking a symbolic 20 or 40 km route together with the whole of Flanders, getting sponsored by friends and family and raising money for people fleeing their country. A fun outing for us, a harsh reality for refugees.

The course? It's entirely up to you! You get the chance to join us from the central event in Antwerp or to map out your own route in a region of your choice. Together we have one common goal: helping people fleeing their country!
