Routes

Are you walking along with the central route in Antwerp? Then you take off at the Zomerfabriek in Antwerp, just like last year. This old gasworks was completely revamped by the City of Antwerp and has since become a veritable hotchpotch of art, culture and relaxation.

On Sunday, October 8, we will have the opportunity to transform the site into a place where our walkers can leave all excited and relax afterward, tired put proudly. You will be able to enjoy a dash of music, taste worldly cuisine and relax with a nice drink. Together with our partners we will do our utmost to provide some atmospheric fringe activities at departure and arrival.

Independent of the distance you have chosen, you can take a breath every 10 km at a maximum organized resting point. Besides sanitary facilities, you will be surprised with a snack and a drink, to regain strength. Thanks to the extensive signposting, there is no need to bring your map and compass, but you can fully enjoy the surroundings.

Routes

The routes are currently still begin developed. We can already give a rough idea about how the walk will go.

Route 20 km

This route kicks off at 12:30 pm in the 'Zomerfabriek'. This route starts along Borgerhout and Deurne, with a richly varied path full of gardens, parks and beautiful streets. The route then continues along varied paths towards Borsbeek and Boechout.

You can catch your breath, fill up with water and eat your packed lunch at our well-organised resting point (yet to be determined). You can also use the sanitary facilities and first aid post here.

Route 40 km

This route kicks off at 8:00 pm in the 'Zomerfabriek'.

Our second resting point is organized after 20 km in the city of Lier. There you can sit down for a drink of water, hot drinks and some snacks. Those who ordered a packed lunch can pick it up here. In addition, everyone can use the sanitary facilities and first aid.

The last rest point you will encounter after walking 30 km and is located in Mortsel. Here too, you can expect a real boost for the last few kilometers!
