Sixth Refugee Walk attracts 1.600 participants

Around 1.600 people braved the hellish rain weather on Sunday the 3rd of October to participate in the sixth edition of the Refugee Walk, the solidarity action of Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen. The walkers take on a symbolic route of 10, 20 or 40 km, for which they collect money to support our organization. 

The central event took place in Leuven (Kessel-Lo), but plenty of participants chose to set out a personal route in their region or location of choice. We even had people joining from Mexico and Kazakhstan. 

Together, all the committed walkers collected almost €350.000 for the project and workings of Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen, making the edition of 2021 the second most successful.
