What are we walking for?
De Refugee Walk is an initiative of Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen. The proceeds of the money collected will therefore go to the work of the Vluchtelingenwerk. This allows us to welcome refugees on their first day in Belgium, guide young refugees with Project Ananas, expand our legal helpdesk, and much more.
Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen has been committed to helping people fleeing war, violence and persecution since 1987. Today we are putting pressure on policy and sensitizing the general public. Together with more than 30 member organizations and countless, motivated volunteers, we are working on good reception and integration, so that everyone can feel at home in Belgium. We support everyone who assists asylum seekers and refugees.
